What's New @ CBHG Lori Hawkins recently received a certificate of completion of the Advanced Training Institute in Trauma-Focused Cognitve Behavioral Therapy sponsored by the North Carolina Child Treatment Program. The training focused on treatment models for children who have been victims of sexual abuse or other traumas. Lori was featured in a recent article in the Duke Foundation newsletter. Bethanne Jacobson is participating in the current training cohort and working toward future certification.
Henry Beckwith joined the staff of CBHG on July 1, 2008. Henry is a native of New Bern and worked in this area in the past. He earned his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from The Virginia Consortium Program in Clinical Psychology in 2006 and has been working in the Charlotte area since that time. Henry will offer assessment and treatment services to older children, adolescents and adults. He will also be available for consultation and supervision. Henry has personal interests in family therapy, group therapy, and psychological testing.
